Every national survey reveals that at least one out three adults are life-long non-drinkers. In 2006, the Centers for Disease Control reported the results of a survey with 39% of adults saying they did not have any alcohol in the preceding 12 months.
All research shows that most of these people avoid bars and nightclubs --- which, in Pittsburgh, are the primary locations for live local music performances.
The "Live@" program takes performers and places them in alternate locations such as coffee shops, yoga studios and art galleries. A small cover is charged (usually $5-$6) which is split between the performer and Managerie.
